Tartan's PAN API now streamlines Aadhar, DOB, and address in a single step.


We are pleased to announce the launch of Tartan's brand new PAN API, designed to streamline the Aadhaar verification process for Indian businesses.


Earlier, businesses faced several challenges during customer onboarding. The process of collecting Aadhaar information, date of birth and address details was time-consuming and required several steps. The verification process could often take anywhere from a few days to several weeks, causing significant delays in the customer onboarding process.


However, with the introduction of our new PAN API, we've made this process as easy as pie. Our API allows businesses to fetch the linked Aadhaar, user name, and address linked to the PAN/ITR in a single step, reducing the time and effort needed for this process.


Further, our API helps businesses triangulate Personal Identifiable Information (PII) data from multiple sources, such as the name, address, and Aadhaar. This not only ensures that businesses have accurate customer data but also enables them to provide a seamless onboarding experience to their customers.


Using our PAN API, businesses save time and effort by auto-populating data points in the user journey. This ensures that businesses can focus on enhancing their customers' experience and delivering better services.

Digilocker API


We are excited to announce yet another API-based feature from Tartan – DigiLocker enabling seamless access to government-issued documents for Indian citizens. DigiLocker, is a Government of India initiative, serves as a digital wallet for the secure storage and sharing of legitimate government documents, making them as valid as their physical counterparts.


Our API-level integration with DigiLocker allows your organization to fetch various documents, such as Aadhar Cards, Driving licenses, Passport, and more, in a consent-driven manner, ensuring data privacy and security for your customers.


Accessing DigiLocker through Tartan APIs is a simple three-step process:

  • Integrate with Tartan APIs

  • Have your customers provide their DigiLocker credentials (Aadhar, MPIN + OTP)

  • Gain access to their requested document.


To get started, sign-up on the Tartan dashboard (if you haven't already), Generate an API key. Utilize the generated API key in the DigiLocker API, as outlined in our API documentation.

Email verification with OTP

Tartan's Email Verification with OTP service is a plug-and-play feature that helps businesses verify their user's current employment.


Earlier, businesses had difficulty verifying the authenticity of user email addresses, leading to inaccurate data and inefficient customer service. The service sends a One-Time Password (OTP) to the user's email address, which they validate before proceeding. The simple process saves significant time on verification, and the plug-and-play integration ensures businesses don't have to invest in additional resources or coding.


This service enhances the verification process and streamlines operations, leading to efficient, reliable and accurate customer service.


Testing vs Product Environment - For better decision making


Tartan's new dashboard feature that allows customers to easily switch between Testing and Production Environments.


This feature allows you to keep exploring and testing other Tartan APIs even when live on production with one of our products, enabling you to find and utilize new features without disrupting your workflow.
