Tartan's HyperSync Product Update - February 2025
We’re thrilled to introduce a major functionality upgrade to HRMS Sync this month: Logs, a powerful observability feature tailored for both technical and non-technical users. This update brings transparency, efficiency, and control to your API and webhook integrations. Additionally, we’ve expanded our HRMS compatibility to include Paychex and PeopleStrong, continuing our mission to make HRMS Sync the most versatile data sync layer in the market.
New Feature: Logs
Effortless Integration Monitoring for Developers and CSMs
With Logs feature, admins now gain access to a detailed dashboard that captures all API and webhook activities from the past 3 days. Whether you're a developer looking to debug a failed request or a Customer Success Manager trying to assist a client without writing code, Logs 1.0 gives you the tools to troubleshoot faster and with clarity.
HRMS Sync logs feature
What It Does & Why It’s Needed
For Developers:
Access detailed request-response logs of source API calls.
Apply deep filters across client name, integration, status, category, and method.
Investigate anomalies with debugging tools and raw payload visibility (excluding sensitive tokens/passwords).
For CSMs/KAMs:
View a simplified dashboard with categorized error types and friendly explanations.
Suggested resolutions are available directly in the interface.
Help clients resolve integration issues without escalating to tech teams.
Logs feature bridge the gap between technical and customer-facing teams, cutting down troubleshooting time and improving service response.
How It Works
Only Admins can access the Logs tab from the sidebar.
The dashboard shows all activity logs from the last 3 days.
Sensitive fields like passwords or tokens are masked by default.
Logs adapt based on client configurations:
Partial Data Clients: View only the logs for shared employee records
On-Demand Sync Clients: View logs for selected data points only
Use Case
Imagine a travel management company that receives incomplete employee travel profiles. With Logs feature, their integration engineer can instantly filter for failed data syncs by “Travel Policy” category. At the same time, the account manager can view a clear explanation of why specific fields didn’t sync and share suggested fixes with the client. No back-and-forth with tech.
